These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Photon Academy website (ibtuition.sg) and the tuition services we provide. By accessing our website or enrolling in our programmes, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed upon completion of the registration process and receipt of the first payment. By enrolling, you agree that the information provided is accurate and complete. Photon Academy reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrolment at its discretion.
2. Tuition Fees & Payment
- Tuition fees are payable in advance as specified at the time of enrolment.
- All fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) unless otherwise stated.
- Payment may be made via bank transfer, PayNow, or other methods communicated at the time of enrolment.
- Photon Academy reserves the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice. Any fee changes will not affect the current billing cycle.
- Outstanding payments may result in suspension of tuition services until the balance is settled.
3. Lesson Scheduling & Attendance
- Lesson schedules are arranged upon enrolment and are subject to tutor and classroom availability.
- Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons. Regular attendance is essential for academic progress.
- Photon Academy reserves the right to reschedule lessons in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including tutor illness or public holidays.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling by Students
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be considered a forfeited lesson and will not be refunded or rescheduled.
- Rescheduled lessons are subject to tutor availability and must be completed within the same billing period.
5. Withdrawal & Refunds
- Students wishing to withdraw from the programme must provide at least two weeks' written notice via email or WhatsApp.
- Refunds for unused lessons will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Administrative fees may apply.
- Trial lesson fees are non-refundable.
6. Intellectual Property
All lesson materials, notes, worksheets, video recordings, and other resources provided by Photon Academy are the intellectual property of Photon Academy and its tutors. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without prior written consent.
7. Code of Conduct
Students are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors and fellow students. Photon Academy reserves the right to terminate enrolment if a student's conduct is deemed disruptive, disrespectful, or in violation of these Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Photon Academy provides tuition services to the best of its ability but does not guarantee specific grades or examination results.
- Photon Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.
- Our total liability in any matter relating to our services shall not exceed the total tuition fees paid by the student for the relevant billing period.
9. Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes. While we endeavour to keep the information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of the information. Use of this website is at your own risk.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
11. Changes to These Terms
Photon Academy reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services or website constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
